Okay! Teton's got a real goofy photo here, we just have to share it with everyone! He is a pretty handsome fellow afterall, Teton is Madison's more assertive brother. As you can see, he also had his fangs removed at a prior facility. Where Madison has beautiful green eyes, Teton's are Orange and Red like fire. He's a bit spunkier then his brother and puts up more of a fight when he's attacked. Teton has made himself a girlfriend in the pack. This has helped raise his pack status up a bit. Mariah, the Alpha female. They have been through the dances together and are now a matched pair. In the wild, this may be a point where a matched pair could potentially split off to form their own pack. For this pair, there is no where to go. So things will just have to work themselves out here instead. There are some really interesting dynamics in a wolfpack, and it oftentimes seems to hinge around the pairs, but travels down the gender lines. Most often...you see a dominant male and a dominant female. These are the wolves called the alpha male and alpha female. In a wild pack, most commonly, these would be the mating pair that started the whole pack. Generally wolves pair up for life. They do move on to other individuals in case of a death, but generally stick to their pairmate if they are still around. The dominant male exerts his will down the line of males, and they listen to him. The dominant female will often have an enforcer that fights on her behalf. For the moment Mariah is dominant, and Freya is her enforcer. Mariah and Freya enforce their will down the line of females. Additionally, the females will beat up on their mates a bit, and they exert some pressure on their mate's own personal status, as their personal status hinges on how powerful their mate is. |
